There are three levels of training for those who wish to learn and practice The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage": Self-Care Training, Professional Training, and Certification Training. Successful completion of Self Care and Professional Training qualifies licensed health care professionals to begin practice of The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage&trademark; on clients. Certification Training completes the process of becoming a Certified Arvigo Practitioner.
A fourth level, Teacher Training, prepares Certified Arvigo Practitioners to present Arvigo Self Care Workshops.

Spiritual Healing Retreats

  Introduction to Spiritual Healing
  March 7 - March 14, 2008

Journey to the heart of the Rainforest in Belize Central America to study the art and wisdom of Spiritual Healing.

Modern medicine is beginning to understand the healing wisdom of ancient cultures. The link between many physical illnesses is connected with unresolved emotional stress and distress. This workshop addresses the causes and treatment of chu'lel (life force) and four major spiritual illnesses of the Maya: susto (fright), pesar (grief), tristeza (sadness), and invidia (envy), and the uses of healing techniques such as prayer, herbal bathing, and incense.

This experiential workshop will provide the fundamental knowledge and practical applications of Spiritual Healing for Health and Wellness.

Cost: $1250 Tuition Only. Lodging and Meals Cost TBD. Travel to Belize is not included.

  Advanced Spiritual Healing
  Winter of 2009

By request of previous participants in our Spiritual Healing Workshop, Dr. Rosita Arvigo has developed an Advanced Part 2 seminar to enhance and deepen one's connection and understanding of spiritual healing.

This experiential workshop will expand your relationship with plant allies, prayers, pulse diagnosis, Spiritual Bathing, Space Clearing, connection with the 9 Maya Spirits, Maya Cosmology and so much more you developed in our Introductory Course.

Review of case studies, mentoring guidance and support will be an integral component of this week's intensive.

This workshop will be a requirement for those who wish to advance to Spiritual Healing Teachers Training.(dates for which have not yet been set)

  Professional Care Training
  January 26 - February 3, 2008

Journey to the Rainforest, walk the Panti Medicine Trail and la MeThis 6 day class follows Self-Care Training to develop the skill required for professional practitioners to apply the Arvigo Techniques" in their practices. This course applies a multi-system approach (anatomy and physiology, lymph, circulatory, etc.) in demonstrating bodywork techniques, addressing herbal and nutritional support, and spiritual and emotional support. Practice development, discussion of clinical challenges, and ongoing support are important activities of this training.

Prerequisites: Prior to registering for this class, a student must have successfully completed the Self-Care Training, and must be a licensed health care practitioner. Licensed health care practitioners may include, for example, massage therapists, chiropractors, naprapaths, naturopaths, accupuncturists, nurses, physicians, etc. Questions regarding eligibility should be addressed to the Arvigo Institute Program Office.

CEUs are provided for Massage Therapy under NCBTMB, Midwifery under MAEC, and Nursing under ANCC

1. Nursing

Application for approval of continuing nursing education contact hours has been submitted to the American Holistic Nurses' Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Approval for contact hours through the AHNA is based on an assessment of the educational merit of this program and does not constitute endorsement of the use of any specific modality in the care of clients.
Holistic Nursing Certification:

Your registration is not complete or confirmed until the deposit is received. Deposits are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and apply only to the workshop for which a person originally registers. All outstanding balances must be paid by two weeks prior to the start date of the workshop.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be in writing either by regular post or email to the Arvigo Institute Office.

If a cancellation is made less than two (2) weeks prior to the workshop start date, no refund will be made.

If a cancellation is made more than two (2) weeks prior to the workshop start date, a refund will be made minus the amount of the nonrefundable deposit.
